The Mindanao Climate Justice Resource Facility is proud to present this research document on The Lumad School Memory Project. The Lumad School Memory Project was launched in 2023 with the aim of documenting and preserving Indigenous forms of knowledge and resistance, led by former Lumad teachers and students, along with Indigenous leaders.

The Lumad School Memory project centers oral histories, ecological wisdom, and sustainable land stewardship practices—offering critical insights into climate resilience and adaptation. By challenging Western archiving models that exclude Indigenous narratives, it transforms memory work into an act of resistance.
